Je suis allée au jardin des Tuileries (photo #1) pour me rendre ensuite au Louvre par l'Arc de triomphe du Carrousel. Dans l'aile Richelieu je suis retournée en Mésopotamie :) voir des fragments du décor du palais de Sargon II, roi d'Assyrie. Au premier étage, je suis allée voir les objets d'art et les portraits émaillés (1556) exécutés par Léonard Limousin, de Limoges, qui appliquait l'émail au pinceau fin pour obtenir une plus grande finesse. Et enfin les appartements de Napoléon III.
La prochaine fois je viendrai voir la galerie d'Apollon.

We study about these things in history books but you get to see them all in person! Napoleon's apartment is the most extravagant place I've ever seen! Someday I want to see the Arc de Triomphe in person!!! That's the first time I've ever seen a photo from inside the glass pyramid too. I.M. Pei.... very interesting architect!
Napoleon's apartments are very surprising, i thought a giant lived there :)
Maybe he was trying to live "larger than life" because of his small stature! ;)
